Jean has operated The Supreme Rubber Stamp Company since 1985. During her career with the company Jean has successfully grown the organisation into a market leader with clients such as Rolls Royce, Toyota, Health Authorities and Schools across the UK. Jean also owns a designer handbag business that has developed into an expanding business with many corporate clients.
Jean joined Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce in 1992 and in 1997 was asked to join the Board of Directors. Since the merger of the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chambers of Commerce in 2006, Jean has been the Chair of the Nottinghamshire Members Council which promotes policy across the county.
In 1997 Jean founded Enterprising Women, a networking group aimed at empowering women in business through a variety of both business and social events. Enterprising Women now has over 500 members and the group is recognised nationally as a leading organisation representing women in business.
Jean is the Chair of the East Midlands Business Crime Forum (EMBCF). EMBCF represents over 80,000 businesses across the East Midlands on advising how to reduce/prevent crime. This Forum is facilitated by this Chamber.
In 2009 the National Business Crime Forum was formed and Jean was asked to be the Vice Chair. Jean is responsible for Public Affairs which includes dealing with the press, Home Office and ACPO. Jean assisted in the formation of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Business Crime which has the largest number of MPs for any APPG.
Jean is also the British Chamber of Commerce national representative for business crime.
