In partnership with the Chamber, The Wilson Organisation is offering members a special package to guide them through the process of setting-up, implementing and running a workplace pension scheme which complies with the relevant legislation, for a very competitive fixed fee of £1,500+VAT.

This fixed fee package is available only to Chamber members and includes:

What is Auto-Enrolment

All employees must be enrolled into a pensions scheme, under new rulesIn 2011, laws were passed that placed an onus on firms to provide pensions for all UK employees aged 22 to state pension age and earning more than £10,000 a year.
To comply with the law, employers are given a ‘staging date’ from which they must implement their workplace auto-enrolment scheme.

Staging dates for the UK’s largest employers started in October 2012 and have been staggered over the past three-and-a-half years to include more and more businesses. The final wave of staging dates, for small and medium-sized enterprises, kick in now.

It means that all businesses with fewer than 30 employees, all new employers and all employers which don’t currently have a PAYE scheme will need to put their own auto-enrolment schemes in place.

Failure to comply could result in fixed fines of up to £50,000 and/or daily fines of between £50 and £10,000 for each day of non-compliance.

Auto-enrolment is a major change for pensions in the UK. It is the first time that some employees have been entitled to employer pension contributions, and it introduces additional responsibilities and costs for the employer.

There are 1.35 million employers that need to meet the Auto Enrolment requirements by 2018.

With larger companies having already reached their staging date, the volume of employers reaching their deadline rises dramatically from now onwards, so the sooner you discuss your preparations with a financial adviser the better.

Your implementation manager will work with you and your chosen pension provider to review your internal systems and processes in readiness for your staging date. This will ensure a smooth transition of data between you and the provider on an ongoing basis.

And the support doesn’t end once your scheme is in place and you are up-and-running – you will also be able to access ongoing telephone support.
