REOPEN WITH CONFIDENCE
The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted the critical role that employers play in supporting people’s health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace. As we know transmission of COVID-19 largely occurs in indoor and enclosed environments, where people spend approximately 90% of their time, this session will look at a number of strategies and considerations employers need to take account of as employees return to the workplace.
This session will explore three areas:
Facility Operations and Management - delivered via the WELL Health-Safety Rating system
Informed by the WELL Building Standard and by more than 600 experts from the Task Force on COVID-19, the WELL Health-Safety Rating for Facility Operations and Management helps your organisation and its buildings address the health, safety and well-being of your most valuable assets – people.
Designed to empower business to take the necessary steps in order to prioritise the health and safety of their staff and visitors, the WELL Health-Safety Rating can help guide users in preparing their spaces for re-entry in a post COVID-19 environment, instilling confidence in occupants.
Key considerations to ensure your insurance cover is fit for purpose, in light of the changes in working practices and new areas of risk that come with the post-Covid return to work. Understanding how to guard against the potential rise in liability claims from employees and members of the public making negligence claims against you if you’re alleged to have not provided a Covid-safe work environment, as well as an update on what to look out for from insurers looking to exclude either Covid-19 specifically or communicable diseases more generally.
Exploring the increased risk of COVID-19-related employment practices liability claims as more employees return to the workplace where there is a risk from claims alleging employers failed to take proper steps to reduce health and safety risks for their workforce to claims alleging employers discriminated against employees with COVID-19 concerns.
