Lockdown Your Data: East Midlands Cyber Security Week
East Midlands Cyber Security Week took place on 1 March bringing together businesses, digital specialists and policymakers to identify the practical steps that businesses should be taking to protect themselves against digital crime.
The pandemic has caused the world to adapt. As technology is incorporated into more aspects of our daily lives, remote-working has become the norm. This has meant cyber-crimes and cyber security have evolved and diversified, bringing new challenges.
The changing landscape increased the need to develop innovative managerial, technological, and strategic solutions to allow the business world to keep moving.
To strengthen the support to businesses across the region, East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire) partnered with De Montfort University and local Industry experts to deliver ‘Lockdown Your Data: East Midlands Cyber Security Week’, which took place from Monday 1 March to Friday 5 March.
This week-long event provided SMEs, organisations and charities from across East Midlands, an opportunity to attend 18 webinars from 31 expert speakers across five days.
The sessions were designed to inform and support businesses looking to understand the strategic decisions needed to ensure digital resilience.
Topics of discussion ranged from:
- Digital Identity
- Homeworking Solutions
- Process Automation
