The Chamber recognises the need to continue to provide information and support to businesses of all shapes and sizes as we continue to go through this period of unprecedented economic and political change.
With this in mind, we have now arranged a new series of events, designed to assist business in preparing for Brexit.
This workshop is one of a series that is being organised and delivered by the Chamber in partnership with key stakeholders and local Chamber members, who are knowledgeable and experts in each of the respective event theme.

Managing cross-border Trade - Customs Declarations
A key question to ask.....Is your business ready for the changes in Customs Declarations?
Are you a customs agent? Or does your company use customs agents and intermediaries to help you trade with the EU?
If yes, you need to know how to meet customs requirements fast and efficiently after the UK leaves the EU. There will be new processes to follow and new forms to complete.
The Chamber is delivering this short workshop to prepare businesses and trade professionals for the future of trade.
The workshop is designed to help you understand what will be required from you to stay compliant with HMRC procedures on the new system.
The workshop will provide a brief overview of the following topics:
- Introduction to Trade
- Business Responsibilities

- HMRC compliance
This workshop will be delivered by Lucy Granger, one of the Chamber's International Trade Advisers, who has been fully trained by HMRC to ensure that she can help and support business be aware of and compliant of this new system.
