There has never been a greater focus on how companies approach their ESG activity, which is having a greater influence on investors, customer choice and future employee attraction and retention.
ESG activity is becoming a key component in future business strategies, as part of developing your own goals this session will focus on how creating and embedding sustainable travel strategies can work towards achieving your overall ESG goals.
- 10.00am - Welcome – East Midlands Chamber
- 10.05 - Exploring the carbon footprint of your commuting and business travel – Robin Pointon, Managing Director and Founder, Go Travel Solutions. Robin will help to show how to measure the carbon footprint of your organisations workplace travel, highlight examples of steps you can take to reduce and how this can be used to support the development of your ESG goals. This will be set against the current business climate, in particular the move to return to work for a greater number of employees, as we move out of lockdown.
- 10.25am - Better commuting options for employees, supporting improved recruitment, retention and ESG goals - Sam Ryan, Co-Founder & CEO Zeelo. Sam will provide detail of the innovative way Zeelo supports employers to improve the travel to work options for employees, including case studies of how this works in practice. Sam will also detail Zeelo’s journey to become a Net Zero company and how this can inform other businesses on the same journey.
- 10.45am - Detail of support available to businesses to develop sustainable travel plans David Clasby, Partnership Manager, East Midlands, Sustrans - David will detail the support they provide around personalised travel plans for employees of workplaces in Derby and Nottingham and the detail of events and activities also provided across Leicester.
