Learn all the major elements of SEO, from keyword research to link building. 

Attending this workshop will provide you with an understanding of technical SEO, keyword research, on-page optimisation and link acquisition, the key elements of successful SEO.

This includes information on web development tasks to improve SEO performance and practical guidance on keyword research that informs content planning, the important parts of a web page for SEO, how to write for search engines and how to use content to get other sites to link to yours. Together, these tactics will make your website rank higher in Google searches and generate more traffic as a result.

Who should attend this online workshop?

This workshop is for anyone who is responsible for managing a business website or for digital marketing in their company. It is aimed at beginner to intermediate users.

This webinar has limited places and priority will be given to trading SMEs based in Leicester and Leicestershire.

What will we cover?

  • Technical SEO including page load speed and using Google Search Console to identify crawl issues.
  • How to undertake keyword research to choose target keywords and plan content for your website.
  • Optimising elements of a web page for search engines, from title tags and meta descriptions to formatting.
  • Copywriting for search engines – how natural language processing works, what is best practice and what to avoid.
  • Bringing keyword research and copywriting together to add content to your website that will generate more organic traffic.
  • The importance of demonstrating Expertise, Authority and Trust (E-A-T) and how to do it.
  • Understanding the importance of links for SEO and how to get other websites to link to yours.

What outcomes can you expect from joining us?

After attending this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Have a better understanding of how search engines work
  • Understand how to check your website for technical SEO issues, and how to research the keywords used by potential customers
  • Know how to optimise your web pages for target keywords, including where and how to use them
  • Gain a better understanding on how to write content in a way search engines can understand
  • Understand the part that links play in search engine algorithms and ways that you can get other sites to link to yours to boost your SEO

This two-part workshop will be delivered via 'Go To Training'. Part one will be delivered on 8 February and Part two will be delivered on 9 February 2022.

This is an interactive, action planning online workshop. You will leave this session with handouts and a practical action plan which can be implemented within your business.
