As both Importers or exporters we are required, increasingly, to certify the origin of the goods we are dealing in. These certifications are vitally important to Customs Officials around the world as they are the basis upon which Tariffs – Customs Duties – are decided. Obviously they also decide the price which our customers will have to pay for the goods.
This course explores how Rules of Origin are basically determined, and answers the question ‘what is the Nationality of the goods themselves, rather than where are they being sold from?’. It also deals with the types of certificate required.
