The Chamber Member Forums (previously Strategy and Influence Groups) are run on a county basis and give members across that area the chance for strategic engagement with the Chamber’s policy making activity.
Discussions held at the Forums are central in helping to shape and inform Chamber lobbying activity at a local and national level. Recent campaigns led by these forums include: East Midlands Public Sector Procurement Campaign; Better Broadband Campaign; Corporate Social Responsibility Campaign and the developing Sustainability Campaign.
In addition to discussing specific policy issues with members that have a similar interests, attendees have the opportunity to interact with local and national decision makers as well as being the first to learn about policy developments pertinent to their business and the region.
This meeting will be the second since the coronavirus pandemic created lockdown for the UK.

Future-proofing Leicester’s economy with digital infrastructure - CityFibre’s City Manager for Leicester, James Cushing
CityFibre, the third national digital infrastructure provider in the UK, is investing a minimum of £80m in the build of full fibre, gigabit-speed internet infrastructure in Leicester. The construction of this new network started in May this year and will bring multi-million pound benefits to the local economy, whilst also playing a vital role in the post-Covid-19 recovery.
