This online session gives you the chance to raise issues and ask questions directly to local Members of Parliament. This is an opportunity to discuss current working conditions and highlight concerns with key decision-makers.
The meeting will be of particular interest to businesses who reside in the Bassetlaw constituency, but is open to all businesses. We are asking attendees to submit questions in advance, although there will also be an opportunity to ask questions online on the day. You can submit your questions online to here
Benefits of attending
- Making your voice heard, and to raise day-to-day operating issues that might be missed amid the current ‘noise’ over coronavirus;
- Understand how others are preparing their businesses;
- Use the gravitas of the Chamber to influence and campaign on the business issues that matter – locally, regionally, and nationally.
Mark Fletcher is the Conservative MP for Bolsover and is using his passion and experience to make a real difference across our constituency, ensuring opportunities are available to everyone.
Mark was the first member of his family to go to university and had the opportunity to study at Cambridge before going to work in Westminster, where he held roles including Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Uganda & Rwanda, which he followed by working on innovation in the healthcare sector.
Growing up in a mining village, Mark understands the unique challenges that closing the pits has created and it is his firm belief that with the right support and the right ambition we can bring leading industries and skilled jobs back to Bolsover. He is passionate about regenerating our area and knows that education is fundamental to this, which is why he is a Governor at two schools in the constituency and is always working to improve outcomes and raise aspirations in our borough.
In addition, Mark wants to showcase what Bolsover has to offer by creating a more joined-up approach to three of the most distinct tourist attractions across our constituency – Hardwick Hall, Bolsover Castle, and Creswell Crags. By linking these sites to our cycle network and improving infrastructure throughout our area we will start to see even more of a boost to our local towns and short-stay tourism industry.
