Awards recognise late-payment action
The BPPG is a collaborative organisation of business groups and government representatives that aim to promote better payment practice among UK businesses. The awards, which will be judged by a panel of BPPG members, have two categories - one for firms employing fewer than 50 people and one for those employing 50 or more. To apply, businesses have to submit an application form, with supporting evidence to show they have improved their credit management processes, by 15 August. Winners will receive certificates and trophies at an award ceremony in London on 14 October. Robin Jarvis, BPPG member and head of small business at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, said: "The awards are the first time the BPPG has been able to formally recognise companies who are taking active steps to change the payment culture in the UK. We are delighted to be involved in highlighting these positive role models for the rest of the business community."
