Work Pays Off For Software Company
Two years of development work and investment in excess of £100,000 has come to fruition for a Derby software firm.
Silver Pride Software, on Pride Park, has launched software designed to allow businesses, web developers and web designers to manage their own websites and online marketing.
Dubbed the Spark Web Management Suite, the company hopes that the product will attract customers from across the globe and help small businesses compete on a level playing field with corporate giants.
It includes social media, e-commerce and contact management software to allow clients to take control of networking sites, develop online shops and manage their clients, prospects and suppliers.
Most of the firm's efforts have gone into making the software enable websites to be modified quickly and easily.
Director Benjamin Benn said: "Spark has been designed with ease of use in mind, to allow non technical users to manage and edit their website and create new pages and menus as simply as using a word processor.
"We wanted to break down the cultural and price barriers because online software is traditionally associated with being a luxury for the large super-rich organisations."
The second year of development work was guided by feedback from clients of Silver Pride who needed to keep their websites fresh and work on their online marketing.
Director Craig Tice said: "Traditionally, content management systems have been complicated and only allowed users to make limited changes to certain areas of the website so we designed one that is as easy to use so that practically anyone can edit their website and keep it up-to-date with the latest news and information."
