Dragons Support New Business
Two new business start-ups were given a cash grant today by Nottinghamshire Community Foundation’s Dragons Den. Their CEO, Nina Dauban, was pleased to see over 25 local business ideas sent in.
She said, “ The ‘Dragons’ were more like ‘Angels’ on the day as the competition was tough but these two ideas showed the greatest potential. The young entrepreneurs demonstrated a real flare for business and we are thrilled to offer them the encouragement and support they deserve. “
8 of the best ideas were shortlisted to go before the Dragons - Mark Samworth, Ian Baxter, Dr Nik Kotecha, Rob Atkinson and Sam Pinkham.
This year the Nottingham Building Society was pleased to offer sponsorship through their Community Grants fund.
Set up by the Nottinghamshire Community Foundation, another round of the local Dragons’ Den will be opening in September 2013. If you would like to be involved as either a Dragon or a sponsor to the event, or if you wish to apply for an enterprise grant or loan, please visit the Nottinghamshire Community Foundation website.
