Two Chamber Members Feature Among Top 100 Firms for Profits

JCB's iconic diggers in BrazilTwo Chamber members have featured on a national list of privately-owned companies with the fastest growing profits over the past three years.

They are among 15 firms in the Midlands to feature on the list.

Construction equipment manufacturer JCB, which has its global headquarters at Rocester, Staffs, was 39th on the national list with annual profits growth over three years of 67 per cent.

The list, compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based research and networking events company, recorded JCB’s latest profits at £276.5m.

JCB, which employs 8,359 people, opened a £63m factory in Brazil last September.

Chesterfield-based Fusion Group, a global utilities products manufacturer, was 91st on the list with annual profits growth over three years of more than 45 per cent.

Fusion Group’s profits, according to Fast Track, were £6.46m. The firm employs 586 people and has manufacturing sites in Britain, China and Egypt.
