Two Chamber Members Feature Among Top 100 Firms for Profits
They are among 15 firms in the Midlands to feature on the list.
Construction equipment manufacturer JCB, which has its global headquarters at Rocester, Staffs, was 39th on the national list with annual profits growth over three years of 67 per cent.
The list, compiled by Fast Track, the Oxford-based research and networking events company, recorded JCB’s latest profits at £276.5m.
JCB, which employs 8,359 people, opened a £63m factory in Brazil last September.
Chesterfield-based Fusion Group, a global utilities products manufacturer, was 91st on the list with annual profits growth over three years of more than 45 per cent.
Fusion Group’s profits, according to Fast Track, were £6.46m. The firm employs 586 people and has manufacturing sites in Britain, China and Egypt.
Paul Norbury, Partner and Midlands Private Business Leader at PwC, the title sponsor of the league table for the 14th year, said, “It is good to see so many Midlands-based private businesses featuring in The Profit Track 100 league table.
"Each of these businesses have had a crucial role to play in developing the economy and the successes they have seen from increased investment for growth, nationally and internationally, should help inspire greater business confidence among others.
"These are businesses that innovate to improve people’s lives, build vital infrastructure, and export world class products and services to other growing parts of the world.
"Their valuable contributions thoroughly deserve to be recognised in this way.”Back
