Plans to demolish Euston station for HS2 have been dropped

A current High Speed TrainPlans to demolish and rebuild the UK's sixth-busiest railway station for the HS2 high-speed project have been dropped, the BBC has reported.

North London's Euston station will now be developed by improving the existing station.

A total of 11 new platforms for high-speed trains will built around the existing platforms.

The £16.3bn London to Birmingham section of the rail project aims to be running by 2026.
