Better buses on NCT routes
Clifton residents have become the latest to benefit from Nottingham City Transport’s ongoing investment and upgrade programme.
The operator has introduced five newer, more environmentally-friendly buses to its 2 and 3 services.
Over 600,000 passengers a year use the services from Clifton Estate, along Wilford Lane and over Trent Bridge to the Train Station and City Centre.
The newer vehicles boast more comfortable leather-effect seating, a brighter modern interior and a smoother ride.
In addition they have audio-announcements and visual next stop information to make it easier for blind, partially-sighted and hearing-impaired customers to use these routes.
Passing Trent Bridge Cricket Ground and serving the City and County Grounds, the audio announcements will also benefit cricket and football ‘away’ fans visiting the City to support their team.
“Our 2 and 3 services are well-used, running generally every 30 minutes and operate along the more residential roads within Clifton Estate,” said NCT Marketing Manager, Anthony Carver-Smith.
The 2 and 3 are just the latest routes to benefit from bus upgrades in NCT’s bumper investment year.
They follow on from brand new buses introduced on the 87 and 88 to the north of the city and newer buses on Go2 Uni 31 to Jubilee Campus last month.Back
