Lord Lieutenant to host Derbyshire Brain Game

Members' NewsThe Lord Lieutenant of Derbyshire will be hosting a dinner and quiz in October to raise money for charity.

William Tucker was part of the team who ran last year's Brain Game, which raised £26,500 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Prizes on the night included taking ownership of a Mercedes-Benz SLK for the weekend, a VIP tour of East Midlands Airport Air Traffic Control tower and return tickets on Eurostar.

Two hundred and seventy guests took part in last year's event, at which Edwina Currie donated her time to be quiz master, Nigel Clough delivered a special round of sporting questions, and James Lewis of Bamfords conducted an auction.

As last year, this year's event will take place at the Roundhouse Derby and will be sponsored by Bowmer and Kirkland.
