D2N2 to launch ten-year Growth Plan
D2N2 – the Local Enterprise Partnership for Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire – is set to reveal its big goal at its Growth Plan launch next week.
Toyota Deputy Managing Director Tony Walker, who chairs the Lowland Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Local Nature Partnership, will join D2N2 Chairman Peter Richardson and Chief Executive David Ralph as speakers at the free event at Pride Park Stadium, Derby, on Tuesday, 9 July.
The event will see D2N2 set out its goal for job creation and the latest on its Growing Places Fund and Unlocking Investment for Growth grant scheme. All businesses are welcome to attend, as well as figures from all areas of the private and public sector. It will run from 8am to 10.30am.
D2N2 has been hosting business breakfasts across the region to get feedback from local firms about what should be included in the Growth Plan. The last of those breakfasts took place this morning at Long Easton.
Chief Executive David Ralph said: “Our commitment to growth is reflected in the ambitious target that we have set and will reveal on Tuesday, July 9. We will support firms to innovate, invest, export, grow and create sustainable jobs.
“Our business breakfasts have been very engaging and encouraging and we have taken the feedback on board as we look to move forward.
“Our Growth Plan Launch will be our first pitch to Government as we look to stake a claim for more than our fair share of the single pot, which was revealed in this week’s Spending Review.
“Our event at Pride Park will also be a great chance for all businesses in the D2N2 area to come together and engage not just with us, but with each other.”
