Clinical Support Centre at Treetops

Treetops Hospice, Risley, has started work on a new Clinical Support Centre.

East Midlands firm Beaufort Construction won the contract for the build project.

Beaufort’s first task is to develop the upper car park on the site at Risley to ensure there are plenty of parking spaces during the building of the clinical centre itself.

When it opens in 2014, the Clinical Support Centre will allow Treetops Hospice, a DNCC member, to expand its Hospice at Home and Bereavement Support services.

It will also introduce a new support and information service.

This will provide much-needed support for those within the local community who have recently been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness.

The service will be available to patients and carers irrespective of their diagnosis, prognosis or where they are on their journey.

The build will take approximately 26 weeks, so should be finished late February/early March. It should be furnished and ready to open in May or June.
