Free Pension Auto-Enrolment Seminar
A free information seminar aimed at ensuring businesses are up-to-speed with recent but significant changes to pensions legislation, takes place at the Derbyshire Hotel in South Normanton on 12 September 2013.
Described by many as the biggest change in pension legislation in a century, auto-enrolment is an important building block in the government’s Pensions Reform agenda and is likely to have wide ranging effects across every field of business.
Auto-enrolment is not an option. Between 2012 and 2018 all employers, even those with only one employee, will have to automatically enrol all eligible employees in a qualifying pension scheme and make contributions to their plan. For those who can’t demonstrate compliance with the new legislation, there are fines of up to £10,000 per day depending on the size of the company.
This event, hosted by DNCC in association with the British Chambers of Commerce and Scottish Widows, aims to keep employers fully informed of the changes and their likely impacts.
Participants will have the chance to:
- Explore the facts about auto-enrolment
- Obtain useful tips for creating a successful auto-enrolment strategy
- Share your concerns about the changes and how they will affect your business
Auto-enrolment may still be some time off for many employers, but there is a lot to think about. There is a huge amount of planning involved in preparing for it, so the sooner companies can start to consider their needs, the better prepared they’ll be. The staging date is not the point to start the process but the point at which the process should be more or less complete.
Scottish Widows is actively supporting employers through every step of their auto-enrolment journey. It has brought together some of the learnings and experiences gained from working with its early-staging clients to share with delegates on the day.
If you have more than 10 employees and would like to come to this seminar, book your place here or email firstname.lastname@example.org.Back
