Freshers Fayre at college

Burton and South Derbyshire College will be hosting its annual Freshers’ Fayre tomorrow (4 September) to welcome its new full time students.

Organised as part of enrolment week, the Freshers’ Fayre will provide students with a range of advice, guidance and information, from personal security to finance.

With live music and dancing, and Touch FM’s Mark and Shuttsie broadcasting live from the event, the Freshers’ Fayre is set to be bigger and better than ever. There will also be a variety of fun activities which students can get involved with, including a bucking bronco and an inflatable Burton Albion football game.

Talking about the Freshers’ Fayre, Nico Rehman, Students’ Union President at Burton and South Derbyshire College, a Chamber member, said: “The Freshers’ Fayre will provide a good opportunity for new students to mix with each other and make friends in a relaxed, fun environment.

“It will also allow representatives from local services to provide students with useful advice and information on a wide range of subjects, giving them an insight into what the College and local area have to offer.”

For anyone who has yet to make up their mind about their choice of study, it is still not too late to enrol on a full time course at Burton and South Derbyshire College. The College is also enrolling for part time courses from 9th September.

The College’s Services team is available to offer advice, help and guidance. For more information on enrolling on a course, either pop into the College or call 01283 494474.
