Hall-Fast founder to address MITEC
Under the heading Accidental Exporter, he will talk about how he had to learn the ropes of trading internationally after receiving orders from overseas.
He will tell how he was perfectly happy serving domestic customers but quickly adapted to the demands of a global market.
And he will offer tips to potential exporters to help them avoid the pitfalls that await every business in the early days of selling overseas.
“It’s important that companies get as much help as they can when exploring overseas market opportunities and I’m delighted to have been asked to contribute to MITEC.
“I hope my experiences will help other businesses maximise the potential of the huge markets exporting opens up,” said Malcolm.
Laura Howard, Head of International Trade at Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce, said: “Malcolm’s experience will provide an invaluable lesson to anyone thinking of becoming an exporter and we’re delighted to have him as part of the MITEC team for this, our fourth annual international trade expo and conference.”
Charles Morgan, who was to have been a videocaster for MITEC 2013, will now not be contributing to the event.
The decision follows his sudden and unexplained departure from Morgan Motors, the sports car-making business founded by his grandfather.
