Free 'Planning to Grow' Master Class

A 'Planning to Grow' master class, for business owners who are keen to learn the essential ingredients of growth in order to support and sustain greater success in their business, takes place in Derby on 3 December.

It is the first in a series of events delivered as part of the Derby Coaching for Success programme, which has been designed to help organisations in the Derby City local authority area who want to improve their performance and create new jobs.

It takes place at the University of Derby's Enterprise Centre, in Bridge Street, between 8.30am and 2.30pm.

The free event is designed to provide business leaders and managers with a growth mindset and the tools and the skills to support sustainable business development by focusing on growth, as part of Derby City Council's new Coaching for Success Programme. It will cover:

The principles which underpin Growth Organisations
The four priorities any growth business must focus on
Vision setting
Creating a strategy that ensures you become future focused
Working on the business as opposed to in the business
How to develop a business model with a competitive edge
The ease of producing a One page business plan
The growth mindset - how to make that transition
Empowering staff to facilitate business growth
Focusing on process improvement in order to support development
Cash flow optimisation tools and the cash conversion cycle
Developing a customer focused culture across the company

Eligible businesses need to employ fewer than 250 staff and pay their business rates to Derby City Council.
