Plans submitted for new look intu

New look intu Victoria CentreA planning application has been submitted to enhance the physical appearance of the southern entrance of Nootingham's intu Victoria Centre.

The designs feature an extended glass entrance, with new back-lit cladding panels that can change colour using LED technology, complemented by aluminium detail.

Nottingham City Council has already given the go ahead for improvements to other entrances at intu Victoria Centre – Clock Tower and Glasshouse Street – which will have a similar look.

The plans form part of intu’s £40m refurbishment programme for the centre.

Janine Bone, General Manager for intu Victoria Centre, said: “The proposed new entrance would considerably enhance the visual appeal of this entrance to the centre. This new design is much more modern and in keeping with the rest of the plans for the centre’s remodelling.”
