Autumn Statement Live Blog
DNCC members - and other firms - can take part in a live webchat with a panel of local business experts during and after Chancellor George Osborne's Autumn Statement, which will be analysed live here today.
The Chamber has joined forces with the Nottingham Post to put together a panel of experts who will analyse the statement as it happens and answer questions.
Mr Osborne is due to deliver his statement from 11.15am this morning in the House of Commons.
Panellists will include Richard Farnsworth, a tax expert with the business advisors PwC, Notts businessman Mark Goldby, managing director of Beeston-based SMS Electronics, and Coun Diana Meale, who chairs the economic development committee at Notts County Council.
They will be joined by Chris Hobson, DNCC's Head of Representation and a representative from Nottingham Business School.
The live feed will be available here from 11am, as well as on the Nottingham Post's website.
One of the key issues the Chancellor is expected to confront is business rates, with the Chamber calling for a comprehensive review of the system amid worries that it is having a significant impact on retailers.
Energy prices, business taxes and spending on infrastructure are also expected to come under the spotlight.
The webchat will also feature Tweets which use the hashtag #AS2013Notts.
