Learners showcase talents at craft fair

Burton and South Derbyshire College Creative Arts learners are set to showcase their talents by selling a range of hand-made goods at Burton upon Trent's Craft Fair.

Taking place this weekend and next (Saturday 7 and Saturday 14 December, 9am – 4pm) in the Market Square, the fair will offer a rich variety of stalls selling a range of hand-crafted gifts.

Learners from the areas of fashion, contemporary arts and fine art have collaborated to create exciting stalls selling hand-made goods and crafts, including original artwork, bags, badges, cards and jewellery.

A further range of craft and gift ideas will also be on offer at the Brewhouse Gallery and Shop.

Chris Beech, Head of Creative Design and Media at Burton and South Derbyshire College, a Chamber member, said: “The Craft Fair will be a perfect opportunity for people to buy unique gifts for Christmas and will provide an excellent stage for our learners to showcase their work in the town.

“We are delighted to be working alongside the Brewhouse Arts Centre to support local artists and develop the creative network in Burton.”
