Specsavers Healthcall – new company, new service
Eye care specialists Specsavers’ are taking their services on the road.
The High Street optician, which has 700 stores nationally, is taking its services into residential care homes and the homes of people who can’t get out.
Earlier this year the company bought Healthcall Optical Services, one of the UK’s largest providers of at-home eye care.
The new business, Specsavers Healthcall, will offer comprehensive optical services in customers’ homes.
Specsavers director of professional services Paul Carrol said: “As the UK population ages, more and more of our customers will find it increasingly difficult to come out to a high street branch and make use of the range of services we offer in store.
“Our new business will allow us to take our expertise wherever it’s needed so that no-one need miss out on Specsavers’ services.”
Specsavers Healthcall will create new opportunities for optometrists, dispensing opticians and experienced optical advisers to develop their own businesses as part of the company’s unique joint venture partnership structure.
