Sharp rise in flat sales reported

Oliver MarshallA city centre estate agent saw a marked increase in the sales of apartments in February, agreeing over ten sales and putting nine on the market in just under four weeks.

FHP Living reported an upturn in sales of properties in NG1 this month, ranging from £75,000 to £200,000.

Popular areas and developments for buyers have been Waterfront Plaza, Stoney Street, Fletcher Gate, Weekday Cross, the Habitat and New Court.

Property consultant at FHP Living Oliver Marshall said he was impressed with the number of sales secured during such a short period. He pointed to the fact that there is an increasing number of vendors with rental properties looking to sell as there is increased buyer confidence.

He said: “Nottingham has a fantastic selection of diverse apartments, from affordable to luxury properties, and investors, first time buyers, students and professionals have their pick of the best at the moment.

“I would advise anyone thinking of putting a rental property on the market for sale to do so now, as we are achieving good prices and interest in relatively short time periods.”
