CIM Associates secures first international contracts
Derby-based health and safety consultants and training providers CIM Associates UK has secured its first two international contracts.
Managing Director Ian Meredith is dashing between Derby and Dublin, Ireland, training staff at two different companies - Billfinger Europa & Noonan Services Group.
Through the support of sustainable cleaning and hygiene solution manufacturers, Diversey Care Sealed Air, Ian spent much of April in Dublin at their site office before moving to Southern Ireland where he will spend May and June working with healthcare professionals and teams in hospitals.
Each company will be trained in three core mandatory skills (safe assembly of equipment, chemical competence and storage of equipment and materials) and seven additional base skill units.
On successful completion of the ten required skills the candidates will be trained to BICSc assessor level before undergoing final approval by a BICSc Verifier. These candidates will then be approved to train; assess and certificate other employees from their organisation. This will provide International standards and recognition for both the candidates attending the course and their parent companies.
Managing Director Ian Meredith is a renowned industry expert, having worked in health and safety since 1988. He has worked his way up through a variety of roles in the industry, starting as a safety rep in a large commercial garage, before becoming a regional safety manager for an aviation ground handling company and a UK and overseas compliance manager. Having launched CIM Associates in 2002, Ian believes his experience throughout various sectors in the health and safety industry has been key to the increasing success of the business.
Ian commented: “Securing our first international contract is very exciting, but to secure two so close together is just incredible. It’s fantastic to see that the name and reputation of our company is spreading, both in the UK and internationally.
“We take the training that we deliver very seriously, which is why we have been Members of RoSPA (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) and have taken part in and assisted companies in winning the RoSPA Gold Award for three successive years.”Back
