Talent winners Collabro to perform at Southwell
The group, which went straight to number one with their debut single “Stars”, recently appeared on TV during the VE Day celebrations in London and release their second album, Act Two, on 1 June.
The team at Southwell Racecourse are looking forward to welcoming the 2014 competition winners to the course on 12 July.
For youngsters, Peppa Pig will be making appearances throughout the afternoon all around the racecourse.
The day is in partnership with, and in aid of the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance, which celebrated its 21st anniversary last week.
A percentage from ticket sales will go to the charity. There will also be a special “Air Ambulance Package” available, containing admission, plus a goody bag full of Air Ambulance merchandise and a return admission ticket for the price of only £21.
Deputy CEO of Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, Sally Crawford, said: “We’re over the moon to have such a fantastic group to perform in this, our 21st year.
“This event in partnership with Southwell Racecourse is particularly great for our charity as Collabro member Thomas is a true local lad, from Grimsby.”
She added: “This day is all about celebrating our 21st year and hope the event will attract people from both counties. They can bring picnics to enjoy the group’s take on a wide range of music, from classical to modern. We’re all very excited about it.”Back
