National rail strike suspended
East Midlands Trains has confirmed it will be running its normal planned service on Bank Holiday Monday, 25 May and Tuesday, 26 May following the decision the RMT and TSSA unions to suspend strike action by its members employed by Network Rail.
The improvement work taking place by Network Rail in the Bedford area on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 May will continue as planned. Passengers are advised to check before travel at eastmidlandstrains.co.uk.
If you already have booked tickets for travel on Monday and Tuesday, you should still try to use your ticket on these days. However, if you have changed plans due to the potential strike action and need to travel on either Sunday or Wednesday, advance tickets will also remain valid on those days.
We would like to thank our passengers for their patience and understanding during the past week.Back
