Property summit looks to prevent Midlands squeeze
Senior-level delegates from the regeneration, property and developer communities will gather at the annual Derby Property Summit to discuss how the Midlands can avoid being squeezed between the South East and the Northern Powerhouse.
“Midlands: The UK’s Engine Room” will look at how, in 2014, investment in the regions doubled and how smarter cities are promoting a menu of new schemes to attract funding.
Last year’s event saw over 400 senior-level delegatesattending and provided a number of leads and enquiries for the city of Derby.
This year’s Summit will build on that momentum and focus on a number of key issues integral to the region’s growth, including how Derby can achieve the next steps in the City Centre masterplan.
This is the largest commercial property event in the region, tying together the individual strands of regeneration, property and development with key industry speakers and city leaders.
Keynote speakers include President Elect of RIBA Jane Duncan, Director at Jane Duncan Architects, and Adam Challis, Head of Residential Research for JLL.
The Summit will also include a city living panel discussion, chaired by Declan Curry, former Business Correspondent for BBC Breakfast.
Panellists include Christine Addison, Executive Director of Midlands HCA; Graham Bates, CEO of Eddisons Residential; Dave Bullock, and Managing Director of Compendium Living.
The event takes place at the iPro stadium on Pride Park on 24 June.Back
