Colt has started work on Sysmex's UK head office
Derby based Colt Engineering has been awarded a prestigious contract to provide the Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) installation work at the multi-million-pound renovation of Sysmex House, Milton Keynes.
Sysmex UK is the UK head office for the Japanese firm Sysmex. Colt Engineering tendered for the design and build project at Sysmex House in December and have been finally given the green light to start work.
Pride Park-based Colt Engineering sent a team of 20 engineers to the site, so that work could begin on May 26. Completion is expected within 21 weeks.
Managing Director at Colt Engineering, Simon Colton, said: “We are delighted to announce that we have secured the contract to provide M&E work at Sysmex UK's head office."
Under the new contract, Colt Engineering will be installing new energy efficient LED lighting, access control system, fire alarm system and VRF heating and cooling system.
Sysmex UK is a leading distributor and support network for Sysmex automated haematology and coagulation diagnostic analysers, reagents and information systems for laboratories and healthcare facilities within the UK and Ireland.
