Hat-trick of acquisitions completed
Its most recent take-over was of a Parkinson Matthews, of Cedar House, Ashbourne Road, Derby, and followed the acquisition of five offices of Turner Peachey, in Shropshire, and of Cox Jerome, of Walsall. It now has 14 offices across the Midlands and mid-Wales.
Baldwins, which is run by father and son John and David Baldwin, has said it will be looking to strengthen the existing team by recruiting new staff for the office.
John said: "We are seeing the benefits of a buoyant economy and growth is good across our existing office network, with this in mind we are always on the lookout for new opportunities and Parkinson Matthews fitted our requirements perfectly.”
“We are keen to make our presence felt in our first office in Derby and we want to add to our employees by recruiting staff at all levels.
“Joining forces with Parkinson Matthews allows Baldwins Accountants to add to our offering in the East Midlands and since we already have successful offices in Nottingham and Ashby, we will be able to extend the range of services we offer to Parkinson Matthews’ client base.”
Richard Matthews, Partner at Parkinson Matthews, said: “Baldwins Accountants is definitely growing at a rapid rate and we believe they have an identical philosophy to our own.
“This move will mean our clients will have access to a broader range of specialist business advice in addition to the accountancy services whether they are an SME or national organisations."
Baldwins Accountants, which was founded in 1971, now has offices in Ashby de la Zouch, Bridgnorth, Coventry, Leamington, Nottingham, Oswestry, Shifnal, Shrewsbury, Stourbridge, Tamworth, Walsall, Welshpool and Wolverhampton.
