Golfing success for Cedar + Co
Eighteen teams competed, raising between them £2,000 for Cancer Research, the company announced today.
Neil King, Managing Director of Cedar + Co, said: "The response we had was amazing, it is great to know that so many local organisations and businesses wanted to support such a great charity. This was our first charity golf day, but due to its success we are now making it an annual event from now on."
Neil added: "With so many teams entering the charity event, we far exceeded our target of £1,500. I, and the Cedar + Co. team, would just like to thank everyone who attended and to those organisations who donated some excellent prizes for the raffle, you all helped make this day a success and we hope to see everyone again next year."
Golf enthusiast Neil later went on to be part of the winning team at the Midlands Masters Pro-Am tournament at Kedleston Park Golf Club.
Neil said: “To win an event as prestigious as this was a massive achievement, there were 42 teams involved throughout the day, the standard was very high with only a few points separating the top seven teams.
"My thanks goes to Matt for organising our winning team, each of us amateurs made a contribution, and, to have such an outstanding pro as Andy was a real joy for us. We will definitely be back to defend our title next year.”Back
