Event’s new club - just the business
An initiative to encourage local business to get behind Chesterfield’s marathon has recruited its first member.
Dunston Lodge, a dog boarding kennel and grooming salon, has signed up to the Chesterfield Marathon’s 50 Club, which will see the business show its support for the race while having the opportunity to receive rewards from the event’s organisers.
The 50 Club offers a range of benefits and discounts, including networking events, VIP tickets to the marathon’s hospitality marquee on race day and tickets to Kids ‘n’ Cancer’s annual dinner.
The club, which has been backed by Chesterfield MP Toby Perkins, provides local businesses of all sizes an affordable way to support the Chesterfield Marathon.
Richard Harrington, owner of Dunston Lodge, said: “We are delighted to be the first business to sign up as a member of the Chesterfield Marathon’s 50 Club and we hope to see many other businesses following suit.
“Dunston Lodge is located on the race route and we provided volunteers to help out on race day last year. However, this year we wanted to take our support to the next level by joining the business club and helping to ensure the race can not only continue, but grow year after year.”
This year’s Chesterfield Marathon will take place on 20 September, starting and finishing at Queen's Park.Back
