Pick Evarard expands into aviation

Independent management, design and construction consultancy Pick Everard, which has a base in Nottingham, is set to expand into the aviation sector following its appointment to the Manchester Airports Group (MAG) architectural framework.

About 48 million passengers and more than 750,000 tonnes of air freight annually pass through MAGs airports in Manchester, London Stansted, East Midlands and Bournemouth..

Pick Everard was awarded a place on the MAG framework earlier this year to deliver services including masterplanning, architecture, building surveying, interior design and workplace strategy under the framework.

Duncan Green, managing partner at Pick Everard, said: “This is an exciting time to become involved with Manchester Airports Group, which has really ambitious plans for growth over the next few years.

“The partnership between MAG and Pick Everard creates a lot of opportunity for both businesses and supporting MAG to deliver its ambitious business plan is a challenge we’re ready for.

“We are one of three firms appointed under the architectural services lot, which will call upon a range of our expertise. As a multi-disciplinary practice we are perfectly placed to deliver the variety of services required, allowing MAG to really maximise efficiency.”

“This appointment builds on our existing portfolio, which includes work for the Highlands and Islands Airport Group, and work with the UK and US armed forces as bases across the UK and abroad.”

Pick Everard has partnered with Watson Batty Architects to deliver services on this framework.

Peter White WBA Managing Director said “We are extremely excited to be in partnership with Pick Everard and be given the opportunity by MAG to deliver projects across the group’s portfolio of airports.
“The fact that MAG has chosen Pick Everard above many others is testament to the quality of the service that their teams offer to all their clients.”
