Civils specialist offers highways project management
Leicester-based civil engineering firm Danaher & Walsh, winner of the Chamber’s Leicestershire Business of the Year 2015 this week, has launched a Highways Project Management service to contractors and developers.
Danaher & Walsh has operated as a civil engineering contractor for over 45 years and earned an enviable reputation as a highways specialist.
The new consultancy service has been developed based on this experience of working on highways and coping with the the typical challenges faced.
Danaher & Walsh’s Commercial Director Ian Gilbert said: “Delays to projects involving works on the highway are unfortunately all too common. Some delays can’t be avoided. In many cases, however, the correct planning and preparation can help ensure that a project runs smoothly.
“We are delighted to be in a position to offer our knowledge, experience and contacts to clients to make sure that a highway project starts and runs and smoothly as possible. Section 278 & 38 agreements, statutory undertakers, water authorities and traffic management are all considerations that need to be made early on in a project’s life cycle.
“The service is bespoke to each client. We are happy to take on full project management, or just focus on certain aspects if preferred.”
Danaher & Walsh is a civil engineering contracting and plant hire business based in Syston, Leicester.
Established in 1969, the company boasts a long list of clients from the public and private sectors.
Areas of specialism include highway works, drainage and infrastructure, bridge repairs and maintenance, urban regeneration and environmental works.Back
