Tax and financial planning seminar
Covering a wide range of topics, the event is targeted at the city’s business community which is likely to be affected by the Chancellor’s recent Budget announcements.
The event, which will be hosted at Nottingham Racecourse on 1 October, will be hosted by Tax Partner at the firm, Simon Browning, and Financial Adviser, Adam Wing who will explore the changes for business owners and individuals and identify more effective ways to plan for the future.
Simon said: “We’re really pleased to be hosting a tax and financial planning seminar, as we feel it is really topical following George Obsorne’s surprise announcements in the recent Budget.
“The forthcoming changes have sparked widespread debate and we feel it is important to ensure that people understand the new rules and the impact that they are likely to have on them. We have been encouraged by the number of people expressing interest in attending so far.
“Adam and I will lead discussions and look at a range of case studies to provide attendees with important advice regarding their financial positions and the steps they may be able to take to mitigate the impact of the changes.
“In particular, we’ll be looking at the increased taxation of dividends, reduced tax relief on interest for residential property owners and reforms to pensions and the associated opportunities, risks and benefits.”
The event will start at 8am with breakfast and networking. The seminar will begin at 8.45am and will end at 10am. It is free to attend. Anyone wanting to confirm attendance should contact Julie Squires on jsursuyu.o.qie@h-kcm or by calling 0115 959 0090.Back
