M2 doubles salesforce and regional office network following record growth

One year on from its acquisition by SCC, Managed Print Services business M2 has invested more than £1.5m in doubling its salesforce and regional office network following record growth.

M2 was acquired by SCC, Europe’s biggest independent IT services provider, in February 2014 and has since recorded an unprecedented number of new business wins.

That growth has enabled £1.5m of investment back into the business, in the shape of several strategic initiatives to further cement M2’s position as the UK’s leading Managed Print Services business.

With plans to double the size of its salesforce in FY16 underway, M2 has also expanded its office network to include: London, Bracknell, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds, with a dedicated Scotland office under development.

M2 CEO John Taylor said: “Our growth within the large national corporate customers and Pan-European environment has been exceptional, with seven FTSE 100 and 35 FTSE 250 organisations selecting M2 for its expertise, service excellence, and people in recent years.

“This has driven growth through multi-year managed service contracts. And we are seeing more regional based customers realise the value of managed print in helping drive down cost, waste, and risk.

“This is a move away from the basic provisioning of product and consumables with a simple service provision.”

M2 already manages and serves more than 25,000 devices across the UK and expects to see this number grow rapidly as a result of complementing its national operational footprint with a closer regional customer and sales footprint.

Taylor added: “With the growing technical, complex nature of managed print, we are seeing many customers struggling to find quality, service excellence, and friendly organisations to trust in helping implement such services.

“With our pedigree, national capability and parentage we feel best placed to serve these customers – but only if we are closer to them, hence the investment in our regional network.

“This new regional branch strategy ensures we are closer, more local and thus more relevant to those regional customers. With this we can help regional customers maximise the benefits of managed print typically driving 30% savings from more basic or traditional services.

“It underpins our customer centric culture and customer experience strategy, not least demonstrated by our Customer Experience Director, Vikki Smith, who manages customer loyalty and satisfaction.”
