Champagne reception to celebrate entrepreneurs
Entrepreneurs from across the East Midlands are invited to join Midlands business advisory and accountancy firm PKF Cooper Parry for a champagne reception.
The event on Tuesday 17 November is to celebrate the region’s entrepreneurial spirit.
PKF Cooper Parry is the East Midlands partner for Global Entrepreneurship Week 2015 (16–20 November), which aims to inspire current and future entrepreneurs through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.
PKF Cooper Parry, which advises hundreds of entrepreneurs across the region, is hosting a series of events throughout Global Entrepreneurship Week, the highlight of which is a special reception at the firm’s headquarters.
Guests will hear from four of the region’s most successful entrepreneurs including Graham Mulholland from epm:Technology and Dean Jackson from Huub Design, who will discuss their experiences building very different organisations and give guests an insight into what it takes to run some of the region’s most inspirational businesses.
This will be followed by a lively Q&A session facilitated by Alastair Cunningham from the Bank of England.
Cocktails will be served throughout the evening by the Rested Cocktail Company, one of the region’s latest business success stories.
Other activities taking place during Global Entrepreneurship Week include a workshop aimed at start-ups and university students on Monday 16 November, followed by a Dragons Den style challenge.
On Friday 20 November PKF Cooper Parry are hosting an exclusive family event with the Leicester Riders basketball team, which starts with a demonstration of the basic skills of the game, followed by a fun workshop and a motivational speech from Jamell Anderson, Leicester Riders and Great Britain player.
Speaking about the firm’s partnership with Global Entrepreneurship Week, CEO Ade Cheatham said: “It is exciting to be part of such a fantastic initiative and to be connected with such a diverse range of events all over the world.
“The fact that we are linking future and existing entrepreneurs in the East Midlands to a global network is a very positive step towards really putting the region on the map.
“We’re particularly looking forward to welcoming the region’s entrepreneurs to our champagne reception. Guests will be able to connect with potential collaborators, mentors and even investors and be introduced to a whole host of new possibilities and exciting opportunities,” added Ade.
