£4k free help to boost staff wellbeing
Leicestershire firms wanting to increase productivity and boost their bottom line can benefit from a fully-funded service worth over £4,000.
The Healthy Workplace Programme, delivered by the Fit for Work Team on behalf of the county council, is for companies in the county employing fewer than 250 staff.
Over the past three years the programme has helped over 80 local firms enhance their business reputation, retain their most talented staff and save up to £40,000 by focusing on health promotion in the workplace.
Chamber member M-EC, Consulting Development Engineers, took part and commended the support on offer.
Managing Director Eddie Mewies said: “By embracing the help offered by the Fit for Work Team we successfully created a healthier and more positive working environment.
“Overall, the team has more energy and is more motivated, which has meant a rise in productivity and a decline in absenteeism, especially through sickness.
“Our employees consider the programme as a key employment benefit and actively organise their own initiatives which combine exercise with team building. We would definitely recommend other SME businesses seek to become involved.”
