Absolute Director is keynote speaker at PHP event
Liam Wiltshire, Director of Development at Absolute, a digital agency in West Bridgford, Nottingham, has been chosen as a Keynote Speaker at PHP UK Conference 2016.
Attended by hundreds of speakers, delegates and sponsors, the PHP community comes together annually to deliver the latest and best in PHP and related web technologies.
The PHP conference is in its 11th year and will feature a two-day event on 18 and 19 February 2016, with three simultaneous tracks, held at The Brewery in the heart of the City of London.
Liam has been chosen to speak at various PHP conferences throughout the UK, but elevation to Keynote Speaker, for the first time, shows his real knowledge, passion and commitment to web development.
Liam said: “I’m delighted to attend as a Keynote Speaker at PHP UK. It’s a fantastic accolade. In short, my Keynote is a look into the reasons why we as PHP developers don’t always give back to the community as much as we should. Broadly we often don’t have enough time or sometimes developers may feel they aren’t good enough, but both of those reasons tend to hinge on the basis of writing code, when in fact there are many other ways we can, and should, give back that don’t involve writing code, and as such can be done in 10 or 15 free minutes by any developer of any level.
“I’m proud to be the Director of a team who do contribute regularly and give back to the developer community, and it’s something I encourage. I hope everybody who attends my talk goes away with something new, because that’s what it’s all about – engaging and learning and finding better and quicker ways to work as a developer.”Back
