Chamber Member Welcomes Russian Trade Delegation

Lauren ArnoldChamber member Le Mark Group was recently invited by a trade delegation from the Russian Federation to attend a prestigious event aimed at boosting trade between the UK and Russia.

Stuart Gibbons, the company's Managing Director, was invited to be a speaker and participate in a panel discussion with a number of successful exporters.

Lauren Arnold, Le Mark's Export Sales Team Leader, then attended an evening reception at the Trade Delegation's HQ in Highgate, London. The following day, a conference took place at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, to discuss the growth of bilateral cooperation and internationalisation of small and medium business within the Russian Federation.

Speakers included the Rt Hon Charles Hendrey, President of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce, Boris Ambrov, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the UK, John Lindfield, Director of UK Trade & Investment Russia, and Trevor Barton, Executive Director of the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce

Mr Gibbons said: "Le Mark brands have built a strong reputation for their design, style and manufacture quality within Russia and Eastern Europe.

"Without doubt not an export destination for the inexperienced or novice exporter, Le Mark has succeeded where others have failed.

"Despite the perception of Russian business often gleaned from both the newspaper and TV, Le Mark still has to regularly compete with North American and European companies to ensure we grow our market share.

"It was a honour to be asked by the Trade Delegation and the Russo-British Chamber of Commerce to form a part of the case study speakers panel."
