BID Leicester launched
A strong turnout supported the launch of the BID Leicester ballot - a move aimed at creating a Business Improvement District for the city.
Companies located in the BID zone now have until 2 November to consider the plan behind the BID.
BIDs add a small addition to Business Rates to fund projects aimed exclusively at improving the business environment in the BID area.
BID Leicester will have a budget of about £4.2m over five years.
The Chamber is supporting the BID.
The BID Leicester Business Plan 2018-2023 has now been uploaded to www.bidleicester.co.uk.
A printed copy of the plan will be posted to all eligible businesses within the proposed BID area this week. It reflects what businesses said were their priorities during the consultation and engagement.
Ballot papers will be received through the post. The ballot opened on 6 October and runs through to 2 November.
The result will be declared on Friday 3 November 2017.Back
