Cyber security firms to get guidance on cracking US

Midlands Engine, working with the Department for International Trade and Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, will host an event in Lutterworth, Leicestershire, on Tuesday 27 February, for locally-based cyber security companies looking to break into the US market.

The Midlands is one of the fastest growing and economically important areas of the UK and boasts four cyber/tech clusters in Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Birmingham and Worcestershire.

It is home to about 20% of the top 600 companies in the UK, with more than 100 small and medium-sized enterprises within the clusters.

The Lutterworth event, one of two planned for the Midlands, will be led by Andy Williams, the International Director of the iCyber Centre @bwtech, Maryland, USA.

Andy is an international business expert who helps cyber security companies succeed overseas. He has also led initiatives for the US and UK governments to grow transatlantic trade and investment in cyber security.
