Chamber welcomes SF Recruitment as its latest Patron
SF Recruitment, the leading specialist recruiter in the Midlands, has become the latest Patron of the East Midlands Chamber*.
The firm, which counts TV’s Dragons Den’s James Caan among its investors, has placed more than 40,000 professionals throughout the region.
It has just celebrated its 20th anniversary and undergone a rebrand, having previously been the SF Group. As part of the rebrand and in line with a new set of brand values, the firm pledged to scrap single-use plastic and use bamboo as an alternative, natural resource.
With its headquarters in Nottingham, from which it covers Derby, SF Recruitment also has offices in Leicester and Birmingham. It has recruited for more than 12,000 clients, with a strong focus on finance & accountancy, human resources, sales & marketing, office support, procurement & supply chain, engineering, executive appointments and, most recently, IT & technology.
Saira Demmer, Chief Executive at SF Recruitment, said: “SF Recruitment has an established reputation of working with Chambers of Commerce. We became a Patron of Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce earlier in the year and becoming a Patron of East Midlands Chamber is a logical progression given the location of our headquarters.
“Over the past 20 years, we’ve established ourselves as the leading specialist recruiter in the Midlands and have become incredibly well connected with thousands of businesses across the region.
“We wanted to formalise this by finding more avenues for getting involved in the region’s business issues, particularly when it comes to people, as we know this is a key driver of success for many organisations.
Dominic Syalon, Regional Director for SF Recruitment’s Nottingham and Derby office, said: “Expanding our Patronage felt like the right move for us as we embark on a new strategy with a rejuvenated brand and a team of people that love working for us.
“We’re now on the top table of the regional business community, in esteemed company, many of which we have supported over the years. We look forward to sharing our knowledge to help the region to continue to move forward.”
Scott Knowles, Chief Executive at East Midlands Chamber, said: “I am delighted to welcome SF Recruitment to Patronage. Chamber Patrons are a powerful force in influencing policy, driving economic growth and development and equipping smaller businesses with the knowledge and skills that are vital to their future.
“SF Recruitment will bring to the Chamber skills and expertise that complement those of other Patrons to evolve something which is, together, greater than the sum of its parts.”
Including SF Recruitment, the Chamber has 38 Patrons spread across a vast range of sectors including universities, law, finance, IT, sports and energy.Back
