New Partnership between me&dee and Meridian Iliffe Ltd

A meeting of two chamber members has resulted in a new partnership between Meridian Iliffe Ltd t/a From Quiet and charity me&dee.

me&dee is a small charity that has been providing holidays for families that include someone suffering from a life shortening illness or injury. Its aim is to help these families make special memories.

It has just launched its most adventurous project yet – its 20/20 Vision - and needs to raise £150,000 by October 2019 to buy a lodge in Sherwood Forest to provide even more holidays to families; holidays that are closer to the much-needed hospitals that are often required during the time of their stay.

Maria Iliffe-Wood MD of From Quiet said: “As we listened to Maria telling us about all the people that she helps through me&dee we were moved to tears. This charity touched our hearts and both Ash and I knew immediately that we wanted to help in more ways than just making a financial donation. We are really excited about the projects that we have in the pipeline to support me&dee.”

From Quiet, which specialises in leadership development consultancy, immediately saw an opportunity to combine its specialist work with a way of raising funds for the charity and will run an inter-company Team Challenge event on 4 October in conjunction with Thoresby Hall. All the profits will go to me&dee.

Teams of people will pit their wits against a number of challenges, both cerebral and physical, while growing as a team.

From Quiet is also donating all the profits from its Live More Stress Less event on 7 and 8 September.

Maria Hanson MBE, Founder and CEO of me&dee, said: “As a self-funding charity we rely heavily on the good will and heart that comes from this kind of partnership. Meeting Maria and Ashley from From Quiet has been a wonderful opportunity to grow a relationship with a company that is close to home and close to where the lodge will be built.

“It is wonderful to partner with companies who are willing to be great advocates for me&dee and who are also willing to run events, raise money and help to raise our profile so that we can concentrate more of our efforts on the people who really need us.”
