Iceland chief to give exclusive talk at Leicester Business Festival

The 2019 Leicester Business Festival will be treated to an exclusive visit this month from one of the UK’s biggest and most influential companies.

Kirsty Turner is the Head of Retail HR for Iceland, who for the 13th year running was named in the top 25 in the Sunday Times Best Big Company to Work For survey.

Turner will be talking about employee engagement at an event in Leicester on Tuesday 29 October, organised by Loughborough feedback specialists We Love Surveys.

The event, ‘Employee Engagement: Effective Strategies, Stories & Technologies to Help You Get It Right’, is taking place on the second day of the Festival at Queen Victoria Arts Club in Leicester city centre.

As well as Turner, the event will also feature We Love Surveys CEO Helen Dargie.

The annual Sunday Times Best Companies survey has ranked Iceland amongst the Best Big Companies to Work For in the UK every year for the last 12 years, and has twice awarded them the number one spot, in 2012 and 2014.

Turner’s appearance at the Leicester Business Festival has proved a real steal for Dargie, who said: “This is very much a coup for us, as Kirsty rarely has the time to take part in these kinds of events.

“Kirsty will give us a rare insight into one of Britain’s fastest-growing and most innovative retailers.

“She will be offering attendees a case study on how focusing on employee engagement makes such a difference at what has consistently been recognised as one of the Best Large Companies to Work for in the UK.”
