Derbyshire County Council maximising apprenticeship opportunities

If you are a small and medium sized business (SME) based in Derbyshire you could be getting help with funding to train apprentices, from Derbyshire County Council in conjunction with Babington. Apprenticeship funding is available to support both new and existing employees.

Babington are in a strategic apprenticeship partnership with Derbyshire County Council and along with the Chamber’s support, they have established a fund to support apprenticeship training needs. If you are an organisation with a payroll cost of less than £3m per annum you are currently required to contribute 5% towards the cost of apprenticeship training, which could be up to £1,350 per apprentice.

The council is looking to use some of its levy funds to support SMEs across Derbyshire, retaining the investment within the county, supporting skills development and boosting growth across the region.

To register your interest in either or both of the programmes above get in touch with one of our course advisers on 01332 613688 or email info@babington.co.uk quoting reference DCC19LEVY and the team will be able to process your application.
